Saturday Night Activities Add the MicroStock Class in for this week along with the PA Mini Pros
This week looks to be another great night of Kart racing along with the Slingshots, Xcel Modifieds, Quarter Midgets, PA Mini Pros and new this week, the MicroStock Class! The Quarter Midgets have an added bonus noted below if their classes meet the minimum requirements noted below thanks to the generosity of Jonathan Miller!
It is also time to prepare for the 2nd Annual Dave Cordier Senior Memorial Race coming up on May 25, 2019. This will be open for the Junior racers and the 375 Flat Kart racers once again this year. ALL QUARTER FAMILIES AND RACERS!!!!
As most or some of you have seen I have been trying to put the word out about Shellhammers Speedway and getting more quarter midgets to show up and have a great time racing. I have had quite a few people show interest or comment on a post but sadly most haven't come out to give it a try. So here's the CHALLENGE I am putting out there to the quarter midget community in the area. If a quarter midget class gets 5 or more cars (that's right just 5 or more cars) the feature winner of that race will get a prize from an independent Amsoil dealer(ME). That is open to all qm classes that get 5 or more cars on the track this Saturday night. Prizes will be listed below. In addition to the feature winner getting a prize, if the class has 5 or more cars, the senior qm class (120,160, sr animal and world formula) with the most cars (if that class gets 5 or more cars) will also get an additional prize. All the drivers names from the qm class with the most cars will go in a hat and I will pick a random name and the winner will get $20 from me to cover the cost of the entry fee for that race. So I am challanging all quarter midget teams to come out this Saturday, May 11, 2019 to Shellhammers Speedway and put on the best show we can and maybe you will get an extra prize to help the high cost of racing. This is a great track for the quarter midgets to race!!! No, it isn't just a quarter midget track but these kids can put on a great show here- you just need to come give it a shot. This is not a challange being put on by Shellhammers Speedway so please direct any questions about this challange to me. So the senior classes will still get their payout if you qualify for one. The red and blue plate classes do not have a class entry fee so they don't have a pay out.
I really hope this little challange will help you decide to come out this tomorrow and give Shellhammers a shot and try some different racing.
